Life's delicate strings sometimes snap. When they do, they tear down an entire fabric woven so painstakingly over the years. A fabric that has helped others weave even more colourful combinations.

But loss, however sudden or tragic, only eliminates the physical. In the minds of those who stay behind, these colours never fade. In fact, they glow with an ethereal warmth.

Ashoke Gupta, till so recently a bubbling, vibrant entity, has suddenly left us. So has our member Werdy Game (Wallace) and our beloved Science teacher Mr. Matindra Kumar Roy. And before or after them, others whom we knew so intimately in school but lost when we came out of our cocoon..

All of them were so precious that it is futile to try and gauge our loss. But wherever they are, we pray they are as happy as they had made us here.

May their souls rest in eternal peace.
