"Constantia".

These are two photos, of a water colour painting done by Mr Devmani Moktan's father several years ago. It took a little effort to actually find where the painting actually was located in Kurseong.

Eventually it was found and I took two photographs of it, with different exposures. As can be seen the painting has suffered the ravages of time, including damp or water.

At some time in the future, I hope to "massage" the pictures, to remove all the damage.

The ornate gate at the entrance, is still there, but Constantia alas, is no longer....

I wonder if the name Constantia has any relationship to the building that Gen. Claud Martin built in Lucknow. He called his new house, Constantia. The building is now the main building of La Martiniere in Lucknow.
